Vincent Tumamait, an Ojai resident and descendant of Chumash ancestors, praised the great spirit at Lake Casitas Pow Wow in may 1991. Tumamait, who died in August, 1992 at age 73, was known for his work in preserving Chumash culture by sharing legends, songs and art in schools and musuems.
